Análisis semanal USD/CLP
Over the last week, the exchange rate between the U.S. dollar and the Chilean peso was influenced by both international and local factors, according to reports from specialized agencies.
According to information released by Bloomberg and Reuters, movements of the dollar against the Chilean peso were related to general trends in global currency markets, as well as the performance of commodity prices relevant to the Chilean economy.
Locally, references from the Central Bank of Chile and recent data provided by the National Institute of Statistics (INE) were closely monitored by market participants, as they can influence expectations regarding monetary policy and economic performance.
However, reports agree that no high-impact local events were recorded during the period, which led the exchange rate to be particularly affected by external factors and the evolution of investor sentiment in emerging markets.
